In 2016 Aleksander Tsekalo was the first Russian producer who managed to sell his TV series Silver Spoon to the world's largest American online movie theater - Netflix. In 2017 he sold five more TV series to the company: Fartsa, The Method, Locust, Sparta and Trotsky.
In 2017 with the assistance of the TV-3 channel, he became the first producer in Russia to release his own series Gogol in cinemas.
In 2019 Aleksander Tsekalo opened a production company SREDA GLOBAL in America to create original content and Russian adaptations for US and Canada viewers.
